Hidden Science
​There is so much wonder in this world and I have spent nearly my whole life unraveling it’s hidden science to be astounded by what it has to offer. Yet, I found myself feeling much like a student on the day that their teacher decided to show them their first baking soda volcano. As if I was so sure of what the world had to offer until those two kitchen ingredients came into contact. I truly doubted that at such an old age that I would ever find a teacher that could show me the volcano of my twilight years.

“Go on,” the prisoner told me. “Take the shot.”

I steadied the rifle in my hands and eyed the wolf. It would have been that easy, but I wasn’t about to let everyone of the escapees know that there was still a prison guard still alive. I think the prisoner who helped me knew that, but every now and then I would find his foot sticking out ready to trip me up.
