VALLEY PROJECT ██
I have seen the valley from the window of the executive office. Not a rocky hole in the ground as I first thought it would be, but rather something with more life. Although, the energy radiating from it is anything but lively.
The valley isn’t deep, but it is surrounded by thick forest with dark leaves. In the valley is a large lake containing some remnants of some old water amusement park. The small town consists of residential buildings and a few stores. Near the borders are a logging camp, a train station with a single train and ██████████.
The train is the only way into the valley, as Doctor ██████████ assures me. For a town rich in lumber, its main export back in the day was silver. The mines long since closed down.
The residents continue with their day-to-day life without fault and so far there hasn’t been an outside visitor in fifteen years. That fact will change as an old resident will be returning to the town a week from now.
After meeting the doctor and some of ████ colleagues I was guided to my room. No windows, but something better. The best computer available and plenty of cassette tapes. Of course, there is no internet, but I can keep track of the citizens through video footage.
The town is watched with thousands of tiny cameras, I can see everything. I suppose if there is to be no contact with the experiment after the subject is introduced next week, this is the way to go.
So far, I am impressed but worried. One important question the doctor couldn’t answer was how long ██ thought we would all be stuck here. We have no clue how long this experiment could take till its completion.
