VALLEY PROJECT ██
Subject Reed went missing last night.
We ran a thermal scan of the house around 1 am and noticed Reed’s heat signature, along with his wives, weren’t there. We started a full-scan of the surrounding area, his home being secluded with a long-running path to the town.
It was when nothing came up that I was alerted. Woken up by security, I nearly fell out of bed when I saw a lab coat run past my door in a panic. I collected myself as much as I could and ran with the others towards the situation room.
The monitors displayed every view from the cameras, which were being scanned by the many eyes of the scientists.
For half-an-hour, there was no sign of them. Doctor █████ was ready to send out the troops when somebody yelled in the middle of the room. The lab coat's view was brought up on the largest screen, a view of one of the streets in the town itself.
Reed and Alice were holding hands, smiling in the moonlight and generally having a good time. Crisis averted.
First, the panic.
I thought something terrible was happening as if we had been discovered. Must there be a full alert when the subject is missing for only a second? Contact with the subject need not be established at all time for the experiment to work. Reed is clueless, just as we need him to be.
