VALLEY PROJECT 03
I escaped the watchful eye of Doctor Silver. When I entered the hospital, I was sure to lead the rest of the team, one-by-one, out of camera sight. Each was knocked out and in one case, killed, in order to allow me some time with Reed.
Reed didn’t take my explanation of the events well.
He suspected Alice, but I informed him that he was only paranoid, Alice was not in our employ. Although, it was lucky that she was keen on moving to the valley
We left the hospital, or clinic in my opinion, and made for Reed’s home. Alice kept him on his feet, the painkillers doing little for him. The Silver’s reached the house before I did, as I navigated the area, avoiding as many cameras as I could. I knew the angles, but it was different when you’re there.
I could appear in the corner of any shot, but somehow I made it there without an operative putting a bullet in me.
I finished my explanation to Reed and Alice in a room I knew the laser microphones couldn’t pin. Even then, I spoke in a soft whisper or wrote it down on scrap paper.
Reed then explained to me that he knew more than the facility. After an hour, that never seemed to end, I left the building in the dark. With Reed’s words and orders in mind, I know what I must do.
I can only hope that I make it out of this valley alive before that thing finds me. There’s only one way out, I know they are watching it. I need only hide and wait. With limited food and water, hiding in the mud, waiting for a bullet or a chance, I feel like I am in the field again.
Only this time, nobody is here to help me.
